Secret Service raid and seizure of GURPS Cyberpunk
The United States Secret Service searched SJ Games’ offices while investigating alleged unauthorized computer access and bulletin-board activity connected with employee Loyd Blankenship. Agents seized computers, printers, floppy disks, private electronic messages, and the master copy of GURPS Cyberpunk. The property was returned in June, and the company later won a federal lawsuit. The incident helped prompt the creation of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
