Sprinkles Cupcakes permanently closes all stores nationwide
Sprinkles Cupcakes permanently closed all of its locations nationwide on New Year's Eve, including its only San Diego location in La Jolla, according to a manager at that location. The closure came with little warning; managers were informed on Monday and front-of-house employees, bakers and frosters were told they would be out of a job on Tuesday night, a day before closure. Social media users complained about the swift layoffs and lack of severance.
