Sister Kenny fundraising scandal
A Minnesota investigation found that a mail fundraising operation associated with the organization had retained a very large share of donations as fees and involved alleged kickbacks to an executive. Former executive director Marvin L. Kline and others were convicted on fraud-related charges; Kline separately received a grand-larceny conviction in 1961 for falsifying documents to increase his salary.
