Controversy involving Surleen Kaur and Balraj Syal

A video in which comedian Surleen Kaur made remarks about Krishna drew objections from Hindu organizations, political groups and right-leaning media. Shemaroo announced that it would not continue its involvement with Kaur and Balraj Syal, stating that their conduct did not meet the company's standards of public decency. ISKCON later filed a complaint with Mumbai Police naming Kaur and Shemaroo in relation to alleged insults toward the organization and Hindus.
