Questions over independence during Sakhalin discussions

The Guardian reported that the foundation had discussed Shell’s Sakhalin commercial project with a British government minister. Campaigners argued that the episode challenged the foundation’s claim to operate independently from Shell’s business interests. A subsequent Charity Commission inquiry was reported as criticising the foundation’s governance and decision-making.
