Ransomware attack and service outage
SGI suffered a ransomware attack in July 2025 that disrupted most services for several days. The company refused the ransom demand, referred the matter to the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit, and restored core systems after four days. SGI stated that it had found no evidence of a data breach.
