Protest over proposed Conklin oilsands landfill
Residents and Métis leaders protested a proposed SECURE landfill near Conklin, Alberta. Their concerns included possible contamination of waterways, impacts on wildlife, and unpleasant smells. SECURE held a December 7 open house to discuss the project and proposed safety measures.
