Seavus

Seavus was an international software development and consulting company founded in Malmö, Sweden, in 1999 by Igor Lestar, Richard Murbeck, and Gligor Dacevski. The company developed enterprise technology solutions, packaged software, and consulting services for large organizations, government agencies, and multinational clients. Its activities covered telecommunications business-support and operations-support systems, customer relationship management, enterprise banking and financial applications, data warehousing and business intelligence, application lifecycle management, managed services, and project-management software. The company initially combined project and software-product development with international delivery. In 2003, it released Seavus Project Viewer, a tool for viewing Microsoft Project files without requiring the full Microsoft Project application. Seavus opened its first United States office in 2004, supporting expansion outside Europe into North and South American markets. Its product portfolio broadened in 2009 with Seavus Project Planner and DropMind, a mind-mapping application that was later renamed iMindQ in 2014. The business also experimented with mobile games and gaming technology. Its iOS titles Yatzy Ultimate and Black Jack Ultimate received third-place rankings in their respective categories from BestAppEver in 2012, while the Seavus Guardians gaming-platform solution was presented at the European iGaming Congress and Expo in 2013. ARICOMA was part of the KKCG holding group, giving Seavus a new ownership context within a larger European technology portfolio. In June 2023, Seavus and five other technology companies—Cleverlance, Komix Digital, Stratiteq, Clearcode, and Musala Soft—were brought together under Qinshift. The combination was described as forming a new IT brand with approximately 3,000 specialists. Seavus's education and development center was renamed Qinshift Academy at the same time. The Seavus corporate and services operations therefore ceased to function as a standalone group brand. Its software-products activities were separated and continued under Synami, a privately held company headquartered in St Venera, Malta, with operations in North Macedonia. Synami assumed maintenance and development of Seavus Project Viewer, ScheduleReader, iMindQ, and ScheduleCleaner. It also released PPM Core, a cloud-based project portfolio-management product, in 2023. Seavus is consequently best understood as a defunct independent corporate brand whose consulting and delivery activities were absorbed into Qinshift while its legacy software line continued through Synami.
