Carbonless-paper price-fixing case
The European Commission investigated Sappi and ten other major carbonless-paper producers for allegedly coordinating prices in several European Union countries. Sappi was found to have earned money through price fixing but received full immunity from a fine after cooperating with the Commission’s cartel investigation. Other implicated companies were fined a combined amount reported in the reference material as $145 million.
