Beijing kindergarten abuse allegations
Parents at RYB Xintiandi Kindergarten in Beijing alleged that children had needle marks and had been given unidentified white pills. Police investigated and detained one teacher. Authorities rejected or characterized some additional allegations as rumors.
2015
Siping kindergarten needle-abuse case
An RYB-affiliated kindergarten in Tiexi District, Siping, was accused of abusing approximately 30 children with needles. The education authority closed the kindergarten, police detained five teachers, and four teachers were later convicted of guardianship abuse.
