Rupp Seeds

Rupp Seeds began as the 'Sylvan L. Rupp Seed Farm' in 1946, founded by Sylvan L. Rupp on a family farm. The company initially sold hybrid corn seed and produced public soybean, wheat, and oat varieties. Over three generations, it has expanded to provide high-performing seed products to farms big and small, from community farms to large commercial vegetable production in more than 48 states and a dozen countries. The company offers a wide range of vegetable seeds including sweet corn, pumpkins, beans, and more.

Rupp Seeds traces its roots to a family farm owned by Grandpa Sylvan and Grandma Pearl Rupp. Grandpa Sylvan started the 'Sylvan L. Rupp Seed Farm' in 1946, selling hybrid corn seed and producing public soybean, wheat, and oat varieties. In 1972, his son Roger Rupp became a partner, and the company was then known as the 'Rupp Seed Farm.' Under Roger's interest in plant breeding and research, the company developed Rupp brand corn hybrids and soybean varieties. In 1985, the company entered the vegetable seed business, starting with sweet corn seed.
