Litigation concerning tissue suppliers and donor consent
RTI was named in civil litigation connected to organizations associated with Michael Mastromarino. Plaintiffs alleged that human tissue had been obtained improperly, including through forged consent documents, and questioned whether RTI had sufficiently investigated its suppliers. RTI disputed the asserted legal basis for liability. The proceedings were postponed in September 2012 for mediation involving plaintiff families.
