New Mexico sues Rovio over alleged child privacy violations
New Mexico’s attorney general filed a lawsuit against Rovio Entertainment, alleging that it knowingly collects and sells the personal data of children under 13. The suit claims that Rovio’s practices violate state privacy laws and the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act; these are allegations in the filing.

Rovio Entertainment announced that it would acquire 100% of the shares in hypercasual mobile games developer Ruby Games.

Rovio acquires Darkfire Games
Rovio acquired all outstanding shares of mobile games studio Darkfire Games for an undisclosed sum. Darkfire Games became a wholly owned Rovio subsidiary and will become Rovio Copenhagen; Rovio also took on the studio's mobile RPG Darkfire Heroes.
