Controversial political reuse of Rooftop Koreans photograph
Donald Trump Jr.’s use of a 1992 riot photograph during 2025 Los Angeles protests was condemned by the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles as an exploitation of historical trauma. Photographer Hyungwon Kang also objected to the image’s use out of context.
