Wealth Enhancement sues ex-advisor over alleged client solicitation
Lawsuit filed
Wealth Enhancement filed a lawsuit against former advisor Christopher Porpiglia in Minnesota state court; the case was later transferred to federal court. The complaint alleged that Porpiglia breached his 2022 employment contract by resigning on Oct. 8, 2026 without the required 30 days' notice and by immediately soliciting former clients after joining RFG Advisory. Porpiglia's attorney said he would deny every material obligation in the complaint. RFG Advisory said it was confident in the process followed in connection with the advisor's transition.
Stated objective. Wealth Enhancement asked the court to restrain Porpiglia from dealing with clients or prospective clients he had worked with before he left the RIA, and to award monetary damages.
