Alleged healthcare kickback practices
The United States Department of Justice announced that ResMed agreed to pay more than US$37.5 million to resolve allegations that the company made improper payments to durable medical equipment suppliers, sleep laboratories, and other healthcare providers. The allegations concerned the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and were resolved through a settlement.
