Harvey Weinstein membership and permanent ban

Harvey Weinstein, who had been a PGA member and had received the guild's 2013 Milestone Award with his brother Bob, faced extensive public allegations of sexual harassment and assault in 2017. The PGA began proceedings to expel him on October 16. Weinstein resigned before the disciplinary process was completed, and the guild's national board announced a permanent ban from membership. The episode raised questions about accountability and institutional responses to misconduct in the entertainment industry.
