In 2007-08, the first edition of the Web Application Hackers Handbook was published, and Burp Scanner was launched. In 2011-14, Burp Suite was downloaded over 10k times per month, and PortSwigger was first featured in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for App Security Testing. In 2015-18, James Kettle joined to lead PortSwigger Research, and the BApp store launched. In 2018-21, Burp Suite Enterprise Edition launched, and the Web Security Academy achieved one million users. In 2021 and beyond, PortSwigger enables its 70,000+ customers, including 16,000 enterprises, to secure the web.
