    Taiwan qualification and bat-approval dispute

At the 2023 PONY Asia-Pacific Zone Championships in Fukushima, Japan, officials revoked Taiwan’s Pony League World Series qualification after the final, citing alleged use of unapproved bats. Taiwan’s representatives said the bats had been pre-approved and marked with PONY stickers. The decision prompted complaints from Taiwanese authorities and support from several participating teams, raising concerns about procedural fairness and transparency.
