Pietro Carnaghi

Pietro Carnaghi is an Italian company founded in 1922, specializing in the production of high-performance, high-quality machine tools. It manufactures vertical lathes, gantry milling machines, flexible manufacturing cells, and multitasking machining centers. In 2025, the company entered the Fives Group, becoming a key pillar of its High Precision Machines division.

Founded in 1922, Pietro Carnaghi began forging metals activity and building small machine tools in Busto Arsizio (VA). In 1939, Pietro's sons Pierino and Angelo joined the company, and production of shaping machines began. In 1973, Flavio Radice, Pierino's son-in-law, led a major restructuring that introduced the company into vertical lathe production. In 1981, ISPA S.p.A. was founded as a machining facility in Villa Cortese, later incorporated into the parent company, and production of large gantry-type portal milling machines began. In 1988-1990, commercial branches opened in Germany and France. In 2025, the company entered the Fives Group.
