US offshore-tax investigation and deferred prosecution agreement
Pictet resolved a US Department of Justice investigation into historical assistance allegedly provided by its private-banking business to US taxpayers seeking to conceal assets and investment income from tax authorities between 2008 and 2014. The agreement required a payment of approximately US$122.9 million, including a fine, and imposed a three-year deferred prosecution arrangement.
