Dispute over French manufacturing claims
UFC-Que Choisir accused Petit Bateau of encouraging consumers to believe that its products were made in France, while reporting that much production occurred in North Africa. Company and employee representatives disputed the characterization and emphasized employment and continued industrial activity in the Aube region.
