Crude-import, shipping, and gasoline-quality investigation
Indonesian prosecutors named suspects in a corruption investigation involving Pertamina, its subsidiaries, and private contractors. Allegations included bypassing local-crude purchasing preferences, inflated shipping charges, and the mixing or misclassification of gasoline products. Pertamina representatives denied aspects of the gasoline allegations.

LNG procurement graft case
Former president director Karen Agustiawan was convicted over the procurement of LNG from Cheniere Energy. Indonesian prosecutors alleged that the transaction caused major state losses; the Jakarta High Court upheld the conviction in August 2024. Other former executives were also investigated in connection with related decisions.

Pertamina debt and corruption crisis
