Appian trade-secret litigation
Appian pursued Pegasystems in Virginia over alleged trade-secret misappropriation and related computer-crime claims. A jury awarded Appian approximately $2.036 billion in damages in 2022. Pega appealed, and the Virginia Court of Appeals reversed the verdict and damages award in 2024 and ordered a new trial.
