PMG denial of historical allegations
After the allegations resurfaced, PMG issued a denial stating that it had no commercial, familial, personal, professional or other ties to Yang Mao-liang or the MNDAA. It also said the earlier article contained factual errors and that the company had not been contacted before publication.

Allegations of links to the MNDAA
An Asiaweek article allegedly connected PMG with Yang Mao-liang and accused the company of helping launder money for the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army. The company later disputed the allegations and the evidentiary basis of the reporting.
