Mortgage-default litigation involving property owner
Wells Fargo filed suit against Thor Equities in August 2020, alleging that the owner had defaulted on a $333 million commercial mortgage connected with the Palmer House. The litigation occurred while the hotel was closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
