    Malisbong Masjid massacre

The Malisbong Masjid massacre, also known as the Palimbang massacre, was a mass killing and detention operation against Moro civilians in the coastal barangay of Malisbong on September 24, 1974. Accounts differ on the exact number of victims, but survivor and human-rights documentation describes killings of men and boys, detention of women and children, sexual violence, forced digging of graves, disappearances, and the destruction of homes by government forces. The event occurred two years after Ferdinand Marcos declared martial law and remains a major issue in Moro historical memory and human-rights advocacy.
