OCT posts RMB 14.5 billion loss as several executives are investigated
OCT lost about RMB 14.496 billion in 2025, with total liabilities of about RMB 225.976 billion at year-end and a debt-to-asset ratio above 80%. In 2026, Feng Zhenzhong, deputy general manager of OCT (Shenzhen) Tourism Development Group, and several other managers were investigated by discipline inspection and supervisory organs. The group carried out internal anti-corruption rectification; debt pressure continued.

Shenzhen Happy Valley Roller Coaster Collision: Equipment Allowed to Run 'Sick'
On October 27, 2023, the "Snow Eagle" roller coaster at Shenzhen Happy Valley, owned by OCT, was involved in a collision that injured multiple people. The investigation report determined that the company's main safety responsibility and repair and maintenance were inadequate, that it allowed equipment to operate "while ill," and that accident information released was seriously inaccurate. Multiple responsible persons were held accountable, with some recommended for transfer to judicial authorities; OCT Group was summoned for talks.
