Human assistance and remote operation controversy
After Tesla's We, Robot event, reports said that humans remotely assisted some Optimus prototypes during interactions with attendees. The episode prompted criticism that the event presentation did not clearly distinguish autonomous performance from teleoperation or human-assisted behavior. Tesla engineer Milan Kovac acknowledged that the robots were assisted to some extent while being demonstrated.
