Altice launched Optimum Stream and Suddenlink Stream devices for its broadband-only customers. The devices are free to eligible customers selecting 1 Gig service or the highest broadband speed available in their area, and cost $5 per month for other Optimum and Suddenlink broadband-only customers.

Altice reaches settlement with New York over storm response
Altice USA reached a nearly $72 million settlement resolving New York state claims that it failed to adequately prepare for or respond to Tropical Storm Isaias. The state’s Public Service Commission report said Altice “apparently failed” to follow significant aspects of its emergency response and storm readiness plans.

Altice USA announces Smart WiFi introduction
Altice USA announced the introduction of Smart WiFi, a whole-home intelligent mesh WiFi system, for Altice One customers. At the time of the announcement, the service was rolling out to new and existing Altice One customers in the Optimum footprint in the New York Tri-State area, with availability in Suddenlink regions planned soon.

Optimum raised prices for internet and TV plans in February 2020. The article reported that TV packages increased by as much as $30 per month and that existing subscribers' monthly bills would rise by no more than $14.50, while higher rates applied to new customers.
