Election-fund classification and spending scrutiny
Reporting alleged that Occupy Democrats raised almost $800,000 for an election fund while making no donations directly to federal candidates. Omar Rivero said the fund was a super PAC and could not make such donations, while Axios reporting characterized it as a hybrid PAC that could do so.
