Occupation and shutdown during Oaxaca protests
CORTV facilities were seized on August 1 after officials refused a women's group airtime to present social demands. The occupation ended on August 20 when transmitters at Cerro del Fortín were fired upon and damaged, taking CORTV radio and television off the air.
