Japan Airlines trading sanctions
The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission reprimanded Oasis Management and Seth Fischer and fined each HK$7.5 million over trading in Japan Airlines shares in 2006. The regulator alleged that near-close orders appeared intended to influence the closing price. Oasis and Fischer accepted the sanctions without admitting that the strategy was designed to mislead the market.
