Northern Graphite

Northern Graphite is a graphite producing company, described as the only graphite producing company in North America. It operates the Lac des Iles mine in Quebec, the Okanjande mine in Namibia (expected to restart in 2027), and the Bissett Creek development project in Ontario. The company aims to become a vertically integrated mine-to-market company, producing natural battery grade graphite and upgrading it into high-value products such as anode material for lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, and graphene. It has produced its first Battery Anode Materials (BAMs) and holds an exclusive license for Porocarb®, a synthetic porous hard carbon material developed by Heraeus.

Northern Graphite is described as the only graphite producing company in North America.
