On 14 September 2008, an aircraft operating Aeroflot Flight 821 under a combined service agreement crashed while approaching Perm Airport. All 88 people aboard were killed. The accident caused serious reputational damage to the Aeroflot-Nord operation and was followed by Aeroflot distancing itself from the subsidiary.
