Nobis Printen

Nobis Printen is a traditional bakery founded in 1858 by master baker Johannes Michael Nobis at Aachen's Pontstraße. The company operates numerous bakeries and cafés in the Aachen area and is known for its high-quality Printen.

Nobis Printen was founded in 1858 by master baker Johannes Michael Nobis at Aachen's Pontstraße. His son Josef Nobis took over the bakery in 1895 and opened a second bakery in 1923. In 1932, another son Heinz Nobis opened a bakery at the then Kaiserallee, now Oppenhoffallee, which is today the oldest existing shop. Josef Nobis jun. took over the Pontstraße bakery in 1938 and led it until 2002. The bakeries at Hotmanspief and Krämerstraße were opened in the 1950s. Since then, the bakery has carried 'Printen' in its name due to its focus on high-quality Printen. Michael Johannes Nobis joined management in 1993, and a new building was occupied in 1994. The bakery grew steadily in the 1990s, and in 2005 the production facility was expanded. Today, 46 bakeries and cafés in the Aachen area belong to the company.
