TSKJ consortium bribery investigations
International authorities investigated allegations that companies in the TSKJ engineering consortium paid approximately US$180 million to Nigerian government officials between 1994 and 2004 to obtain NLNG construction and expansion contracts. KBR pleaded guilty in the United States, while Snamprogetti, Eni, and related entities paid substantial penalties and settlements. The cited allegations concerned consortium companies and officials rather than an accusation that NLNG staff themselves made the payments.
