Techno Import and the “Teknival” dispute
Spiral Tribe members objected after Techno Import commercially released a television-promoted compilation titled Spiral Tribe The Sound of Teknival and registered “teknival” as a trade name without, according to the collective, informing them in advance. Protest flyers accused the distributor of commercializing Spiral Tribe’s culture. The dispute, combined with disagreements within the collective, contributed to the dissolution of Network 23.
