History
Netstar was established in 1994 by Dr Conrad Walker and Martin van Breda as ATIS (Advanced Tracking and Information Systems), soon renamed Netstar, to combat vehicle theft in South Africa. The company launched proactive monitoring, improving vehicle recovery time to 40 minutes with a recovery rate above 90%. It expanded into Malaysia in collaboration with Proton, their largest vehicle manufacturer. Later, it launched the Netstar Guardian personal protection device.
