Pennsylvania consumer-protection settlement
NCO paid $300,000 to settle allegations by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania concerning violations of state consumer-protection requirements related to its collection activities.
2004
Fair Credit Reporting Act settlement
The Federal Trade Commission alleged that NCO improperly reported delinquency dates for consumer accounts transferred from a previous service provider. NCO agreed to pay a $1.5 million penalty and said the underlying information problem had been corrected before the FTC case.
