MTN Nigeria SIM-registration penalty
Nigeria’s telecommunications regulator fined MTN Nigeria after finding that the operator had not fully disconnected improperly registered SIM cards in accordance with regulatory requirements. The dispute became one of the largest regulatory challenges in MTN’s history.
