Fatal engine-room fire
On 11 December 2014, a fire broke out in the engine room while Insignia was docked in Castries, Saint Lucia. Two Wärtsilä North America field service engineers and one crew member died. The incident ended the voyage, required passenger disembarkation and led to repairs in Puerto Rico.
