Oven-cleaner skin-burn controversy
Complaints about the strength of the cleaning agents led to scrutiny of the Mr Muscle oven cleaner. A case series discussed six deep dermal and full-thickness skin burns treated at the Welsh Regional Burns and Plastics Unit between January 1990 and July 1992. The report considered the product’s ingredients, packaging, presentation, regulatory controls and prevention of further injuries.
