Castle Bromwich aircraft-production failure
Morris agreed to build and manage the Castle Bromwich factory for Supermarine Spitfire production, but the plant failed to deliver aircraft on the expected timetable. The Ministry of Aircraft Production intervened, replacing the management arrangement and placing the facility under supervision associated with Supermarine and Vickers-Armstrongs.
