Moli Energy mobile-phone battery fire and recalls
A battery made by the predecessor Moli Energy caught fire in a mobile phone. Sales were halted and tens of thousands of phones were recalled. The failure contributed to Moli Energy entering receivership and helped accelerate industry movement toward safer rechargeable-lithium battery materials.
