Alleged repression of protesting employees
International sanctions authorities alleged that MAZ employees who joined strikes and peaceful protests following Belarus’s 2020 presidential election were intimidated, confined, dismissed or otherwise penalized. The European Union also alleged that company premises and equipment were made available for a political rally supporting the Belarusian authorities.
