2012 election-poll controversy
Milenio was criticized after publishing a poll five days before the 2012 Mexican general election that showed Enrique Peña Nieto leading Andrés Manuel López Obrador by eighteen points. The eventual difference was 6.46 percentage points. Ciro Gómez Leyva issued a public apology and said the organization would retire from electoral polling.
