Stadiou Street bank-branch arson and fire-safety convictions
On 5 May 2010, an arson attack by unidentified perpetrators during anti-austerity demonstrations killed three employees at a bank branch on Stadiou Street in Athens. A trial concluding in 2013 found several management-level individuals guilty of negligent homicide, bodily harm involving other employees, and failures in fire-safety measures and staff training.
