Datem construction and asset-freeze dispute
Datem Inc. alleged that Megaworld had failed to meet obligations connected with construction projects. A Quezon City Regional Trial Court issued a November 14, 2023 order freezing Megaworld assets in relation to the dispute. Megaworld denied the allegations, challenged the order, and said it would file civil and criminal cases against Datem.

Trademark dispute over The Trumps condominium name
Megaworld renamed a high-rise condominium project from The Trumps to One Central after Donald Trump objected to the use of the name and threatened legal action. The project naming was changed rather than proceeding under the disputed branding.
