BSI partnership and Pahalgam imagery scrutiny
Maxar Intelligence faced questions after reports described an unusual increase in orders for high-resolution imagery of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir and revisited Maxar’s former partnership with Business Systems International, a Pakistani geospatial company. Reporting also raised questions about BSI’s alleged sale of satellite imagery to a Pakistani government entity. Maxar said BSI had not placed orders for Pahalgam or nearby imagery in 2025 and had not accessed relevant archived imagery; BSI was subsequently removed from Maxar’s partner listing.
